ARC & Beta Readers

Every book I write begins with a few quiet, faithful readers — women who are willing to hold the words before they reach the world and tell me honestly what they found there. If that is something you would be part of, I would be grateful.

Below you will find what these roles mean, what I ask of you, and how to get involved.

What Is an ARC Reader?

ARC stands for Advanced Reader Copy

An ARC reader receives a finished copy of the book before it is publicly released. The book is complete — written, edited, and formatted. You are among the first to hold it.

In return, I ask for one thing: an honest review. On Amazon, on Goodreads, or wherever you feel led. Your words do not need to be long or polished. They just need to be yours. Early reviews help other women find these books when they need them most, and that matters more than I can say.

You are not expected to love everything. You are expected to be honest. That is enough.

What Is a Beta Reader?

Reading before the book is finished

A Beta reader sees the book earlier — before the final edits, before the cover is on, sometimes before I am sure it is ready. You are reading a draft, and I am asking for your eyes and your heart.

Beta reading is not about catching typos, though you are welcome to. It is about telling me where the prayers land and where they do not. Where you felt seen and where something felt missing. Where you stayed and where your attention wandered.

This takes a little more time and a willingness to be honest with me about what is working. If you are the kind of woman who reads carefully and speaks gently but truthfully, this may be for you.
